Dream #1: Travel Bus
Share: Ten years ago, I drove a tour bus for a year. It was a difficult time because I never knew what time I was leaving and where I was going...).
Dream: I walk along this lovely path in an open valley, I like to think I am in Switzerland or the Alps (which represent altitude and peace). The sun is out and I feel good to be alive and to be in this place of silent beauty.
I walk along this endless path, stopping from time to time to rest and drink. At times, when I stop, I think I am alone in this part of the world. No sound except the wind, the birds and the sound of my feet touching the ground.
There is a change of scenery, I am now driving a bus on a narrow and winding road. The sun is out, the wind is blowing through the open windows, and what is remarkable is that there is no noise, it is so quiet. At different intervals, I pass long lines of children walking in a straight line on the other side of the road. They smile at me and continue on their way. I realize that I don't know my destination; where am I going?
Another change of scenery, this time I fall from the sky and drive a tour bus. I hear myself screaming and I wake up from my dream in a state of fear.
Dream #2: Drive to cremation site
Dream: I'm driving an old scooter through a narrow alley to get to a cremation site (cemetery). Behind me, a white Maruti Omni car honks to pass me, but there is no room on the road. I turn around and see that a naked man is driving the car, trying to hide his face with a white cloth.
I have the impression that this is a Digambara Jain saint trying to hide his identity as a Jain saint. Jain saints are not supposed to drive a car. I said to him: "Don't worry, I am also a Jain, I know why you hide your face. And I am also going to the same funeral - to the cremation ground.".
Share: The word Digambara (Sanskrit) is a combination of two words: dig (directions) and ambara (sky), referring to those whose clothes are made of the element that fills four quarters of space. Digambara monks do not wear any clothes.
