Letter from Secretary-Treasurer at UCM
Warm greetings to everyone,
I have been volunteering with UCM for several years, and I feel it is important to be involved in UCM’s 2026 fundraising message to share how deeply moved I am by the work of Kaya and Christiane Muller, who have been working selflessly and with love for over 25 years to help those who wish to better understand the meaning of their life and of life itself. I am the volunteer Secretary-Treasurer of the non-profit organization UCM Canada, which is the parent organization supporting all UCM centers in different countries, and I can assure you with all my heart that UCM has devoted all its resources for more than 25 years to humanitarian and spiritual projects that allow UCM to grow.
In 2020, we underwent a six-month audit by the Government of Quebec and received impeccable feedback regarding the management and use of resources across the major projects we support worldwide. Kaya and Christiane have been so dedicated for 25 years that they truly lead by example… They are living proof of simplicity and of fully embodying this teaching. I can personally attest to this, being familiar with all ongoing decisions and changes.
I know that UCM’s associative project Nature Zen, which had to close in 2025, impacted the organization’s finances. However, it was created solely, from the very beginning, to help support the association financially over the long term. The economic climate, combined with high-quality organic products, was affected by customs tariffs and rising ingredient costs. We had appropriate infrastructure in place, along with a wonderful team that I hold dear to my heart and whom I have watched grow over the 12 years I have been with UCM.
In 2025, this led to significant staff reductions, and some people did not appreciate these changes. But as a business leader myself, I know that when decisions must be made for the common good, they are not always well received by those who have to leave and who naturally focus on their personal situation rather than the broader economic context or other contributing factors. Nonetheless, we made the right decisions given the circumstances, and this is what now allows us to continue the mission and build the future of the UCM association.
I wanted to add my voice in support of UCM’s 2026 fundraising campaign for this non-profit organization, because I know that an organization is not built on profits, but on humanitarian missions that allow us all to develop qualities and virtues and become better people. This, to me, is UCM’s spirituality, and it is also true for my wife Caroline, who has been volunteering with UCM for more than 18 years.
I also sincerely believe that unity creates strength, and that if you support UCM this year (only if you are able), it will help solidify the restructuring steps currently underway. Please know that for me, as for hundreds of thousands of people around the world who have read a book, attended a conference or training, or had the privilege of meeting Kaya and Christiane Muller in person, this teaching changes lives and inspires societies at the highest level.
The individualism we are witnessing grow right now is quite striking, everywhere in the world, and I see it daily in my own company. The world is changing, and people often feel overwhelmed by the constant flow of information and events. Opinions vary widely and are often unfounded or incomplete. There is much work to be done at UCM to support those who are affected and struggling to understand what they are experiencing, individually or collectively.
One last thing… I give my full support to Kaya and Christiane Muller. The decisions made in 2025 were necessary, and it is important that we all turn the page together and write the next chapter of our UCM organization. Help UCM, support this Mission in any way you can… thank you from the bottom of my heart…
