Dream #1: Northstar Autopsy
Share: The title of this dream was received in the dream, at the very end, when I was told that the title of the documentary was Northstar Autopsy.Dream: The dream begins in Repentigny (former town where I lived). I am on a bus with several people. It's like a sort of organized group bus that goes to visit something. We are on the bus and passing through a low socio-economic class neighborhood of Repentigny. There are several blocks of apartments and there are a lot of people on their balconies. Some smoke, others watch, they don't actually do much. At that moment, a narration begins, like in a film, and it is me who does this narration. In this one, I comment on these people who are on their balcony and I have judgment towards them. I think they use their time poorly; they should do something rather than sitting on their balcony doing “nothing”. I comment on what happens when a social class drops out of society. That's what I'm describing in the documentary and I'm about to go tour some sort of industry with people. The whole organized group went there. On the bus, I'm with my 2 big sisters and I'm talking to them about the documentary that I want to make on this industry, which according to me, has special practices or something that I want to understand and deepen. The bus continues and stops to comment on what is happening in Repentigny. We arrive at an industrial district, with industries of all kinds. The factory is to the right of the industrial boulevard. It's all white and still looks beautiful, high-tech if you will. But around, there are big fences, really really high, at least 10 meters high, with barbed wire and posters that say: “no entry” or “place under surveillance”. We see that it is a protected place. The bus arrives and before getting out, I talk to my 2 sisters. They tell me that they will not go inside the factory but that they will wait for me outside, and that as soon as I have finished, they will take the car and meet me outside to leave. together. To start my documentary, I take a notepad so I can write and look serious. And I put on a pink wig, something a little crazy. In my intention, I want to see how the factory works and put a little “Patch Adams” aspect into my approach. When you arrive at the entrance, you have to put on a sort of smock. My sisters are in the hall and leave me, but just before, when they see the smock, they say to me: “Ah, don’t wear that! ". I say: “Well no, well no, it’s okay, it’ll be fun.” I'm a little late actually, because the group has already started (what I don't know yet in the dream is that all the visitors had a microchip before entering the industry) so I do quickly to enter the factory. I hurry to put on the coat and join the group and I don't have a chip given my late arrival. The person leading the group has already left and is giving explanations. I don't go through the same door as the group. They went through a corridor and I went through a sort of general entrance door and I hurried, I walked quickly to join the group. The guided tour begins and she explains what the company does. The room we are in is white and really huge. It is like a kind of big circle and is 15-20 meters high. Upstairs, on the top floor, which is large and must be at least 20 feet before the ceiling, these are all windows with people who can look down at what's going on, people supervising, etc. But what I realize is that I don't see the same thing as other people, because I don't have the microchip. This chip changes people's perceptions. Except for one person who is next to me, like a sort of outsider, someone that in society the majority of “normal” people would find weird. But I'm interested in what he might have to say and it's like he wakes up. He has a chip, but he wakes up. He said to me, “Hey, do you see what I see? » He explains to me that he takes some kind of medication for his health (possibly on a psychological level, because we see that he is a person who could easily be given medication if he went to see a psychologist or psychiatrist, because he has a bit of a special appearance, he's different from the others in the way he talks, dresses, the way he looks, etc.), then he says: "Hey, look what's there ! » In the place he points out, there are like waste containers, large metal containers, and inside we see limbs, arms, things either cut, burned or all tense that have been torn off. , like in a horror film. Like limbs that have been mutilated; either because experiments were done there or because they had accidents at work, things of that sort. He said to me: “Do you want to go and look inside? " It's disgusting. There are really, really plenty of them. I say: "No, no, I hate seeing that, I'm sorry, I find that... I don't like seeing things that aren't beautiful like that, I can't look." He says: “There are like lots of arms, lots of things like that” and he describes to me what he sees. I raise my head a little and see what's in the containers. I say to myself: “Ah my god”. Around the same time, I look down at my apron and see that there's lots of blood, bits of skin, stuff like that on my lab coat and I realize, "Oh no, it's that's why my sisters told me not to wear that. ", when I was in a hurry to get home. I realize that it's really not clean, that what's happening in this factory doesn't make any sense. I had thought at the beginning that it would be funny to make a documentary, but now I actually realize that I am in danger, because people have a chip, but I don't have one, and what if people realize that I'm awake, it would be bad for me. I still decide to go to the back corridors, where there are for example fire escapes, mechanical rooms, etc., which you don't normally see as a tourist or visitor. It's not inviting. So I go through these corridors and I go to the outside courtyard, at the back, and there I see workers working on things outside, and others who are on their "break", because they don't have so much more energy. Some went out to try to save themselves, but they actually have no strength left. They are leaning against the fence with one arm trying to climb, but they are really devitalized. They are not zombies as such, but they are in a way, because they are as if dead in fact. They no longer have any vitality at all and I realize that they are prisoners of this factory after all. At the same time, I realize that we are in a backyard in Repentigny, with the same people who were there at the beginning, who are on their balconies watching. It's as if there was a poor neighborhood close to the industry, behind it in fact. In the factory yard. They look at me and wonder what I'm doing here. I tell myself that they shouldn't see me, because if someone sounds the alarm, it would be bad for me. I try to return to the group discreetly. I go under these people's balconies so they don't see me too much and I'm stressed. The general atmosphere of the nightmare is like that of a horror film. I come back to the group and I say to the misfit, "Listen, I need to get out of here right now, before people realize that I don't have the chip, because I saw back the working conditions of people and they are prisoners, we have to get out of here as quickly as possible.” At that point, the misfit stays with the group. As if he wasn't awake like before. He doesn't understand why I'm stressed. He stays there. So I say to myself too bad, I can't do anything and I'm leaving. At the exit, there was one of my friends from university. I asked him: “But what are you doing here?” Why do you work for this factory? » She replies: “Ah well, they recruited me, they thought I did my job well and they hired me. I have good conditions, etc. ". I said to him: “Listen, I have to go back.” She asks: “Aren’t you with the group? » I said to him: “No, no, no, my sisters are waiting for me. I have to go again.” She said to me, “Okay, then I’m going to deactivate your chip.” I answer him: “That’s a bit of the problem, is that I don’t have any.” She said: “Oh! Security will come upon you.” So I said to him: “Well that’s it, that’s why I absolutely want to leave.” So she said, “Look, go ahead, try to get out as best you can.” You'll have to climb over the fence. I won’t be able to cover you but I’ll slow down security.” So I hurry, I run, and at that moment, my son is there. I ask him: “But Nathan, what are you doing here? » He answers me: “Good, I'm here, I was waiting for you, dad, outside”. I said to him: “Okay come on, we really have to hurry, we have to get out of here.” So we run to the fence and I tell him, “Okay, go ahead, climb, climb, we’re going to go, we’re going to get there together.” The fence is really, really high. At the last fence before the barbed wire, I pull really hard to tear off the fence and in a few pulls, I tear it off. I said to Nathan: “Okay go ahead, go first, I'm going to hold you and then we're going to do the same thing, but we're going to go down the fence on the other side. But you don't have to look down. You just have to go down slowly, one step at a time, I’m crossing too.” So I cross the fence and I say: “Keep going, keep going, we’re going down.” We have about 1/3 of the fence left to go down and Nathan is looking down. This makes him dizzy and he falls down. He hurts his leg. It's not broken or anything, but he's on the ground and he's crying, he's in pain. I really hurry down the fence and get it. I said to him: “Come on Nathan, it’s okay. We'll take care of your leg, but we really have to get out of here, okay? ". I carry it, I take it and by excellent timing, my sisters arrive at the same time in a car on the side of the road. I tell them: “Okay quickly, we really have to hurry”. I put Nathan in the car and sit down. I said: “Okay we have to leave here as quickly as possible. Don’t wait because security will come upon us.” We then set off on the road and there, it's really special. It's as if Nathan and I were going to be teleported and leave the car. But just before that, it's as if we arrive at the end of the road and the scenery ends. A bit like in the movie The Truman Show, as if it was all a set piece and at some point there was an end. And that by going there, we saw the reality behind the scenery. At this moment, I realize that in fact, all around the factory, the industrial decor that we saw at the beginning was not real. It was like images that were projected by the factory to make it look like a real place, but the factory was all alone, in the middle of an endless wood or forest. It was really big. Miles of forest. So when we came by bus, everything we saw: the city, the other neighborhoods... all of that was not true. It was only forest after all. So there, I said to Nathan: “Listen, I think we're going to have to get out of this forest as quickly as possible, because there are people who are going to come and catch us, so we have to run away.” We then run together into the forest and I hear that there are 2 guards ordering the wolves to be released. There are about 5-6 wolves released in the distance, but they run really fast. I then tell Nathan that we really need to run as fast as we can. Then, even if in the logic of the dream, his leg should have hurt, no, there he was running. We ran together. Then there was a family of deer. Some had escaped, but 2 deer remained; like a father with his son, which resembled us in the family model at that time. The father deer and his son started running, but as if to protect us. They were running diagonally behind us, so the wolves would catch them instead of us. Finally the wolves pounce on the deer. We don't look back, because we must continue to move forward. Then finally we get out of this place. At this moment, it's as if I have an outside observer's point of view. It's as if this part of the dream ends there; we had managed to escape. I then saw from above (as if through an aerial view in “camera” mode), 2 Native Americans in the forest looking at the dead bodies of deer and saying: “Oh no, why…” They are really sad that the wolves attacked deer. Native Americans seem to be the only inhabitants tolerated in this forest. They perform a ritual of thanks to the deer and the scene ends like this. In the next phase of the dream, I completed my documentary on this industry. I know it will be controversial because there are people who won't believe it, but I want to tell what I experienced, what I saw. The documentary plays in the cinema. Then I see the poster for the documentary and it's called Northstar Autopsy. On the poster, it's as if we see half a face, a bit like the character in X-Men called Mystique, with blue skin and orange hair, who is like a chameleon, capable to transform into all the different forms she wants. She only has to touch the person, or touch the object, and she can change into any form. So the character on the poster resembles that, but on his face, we also see a bit like barcodes, traces of surgery or high-tech scientific experiments, like a sort of human before being tampered with by an industry. The documentary is going to be presented in the cinema and it's like the premiere of the film. The documentary plays in 2 parts in the cinema and there is like an intermission. The first part of the film is a bit like the one just told (this dream). At intermission, people are talking and I see a lot of my friends from college who came to see the film. They have a beer and they talk: “Yeah well, do I agree, disagree, is this true or exaggerated?” » But deep down, they are actually rationalizing. They intellectualize the documentary and don't really take it as if it were true. They see it more as a cinema film and they criticize it, as some film critics do. So I went to see some groups, and I told them: “Listen, no, no, it's not a film that I made, it's a documentary. We took actors because we are not allowed to go and shoot at that factory, obviously, it's under close surveillance and everything. But we tried to reproduce as faithfully as possible what happened. It’s not an exaggeration, no.” Some doubt and others really agree. But it's really polarized, about 50/50. There are as many people who take this seriously as there are people who say that it is not possible, that we live in a society with laws, etc. These are the two points of view which clash. After the intermission, in the second part, I decided (to make people understand the reality of what had been experienced in this industry) that the documentary would cut short at a place where the ending was unresolved, without credits or Nothing. And at that moment, people came, like medical authorities and security people that I had paid, to take people out through a somewhat questionable corridor. As if to make them experience the moment when they would not be allowed to go out anywhere other than the indicated place. Everything looked serious with security guards, people dressed in white with lab coats, who looked like they were medical or scientific authorities. It was to make them experience what the workers were experiencing there. As if we were taking them out of the cinema via emergency or alternative exits. Finally, when they got outside, people realized they were in the back parking lot outside and they were reassured. But during the transit, these people had experienced the fear that factory workers might experience while they work. The presentation of the film ended like this. The next day, I saw the review in the newspaper and the title was: Northstar Autopsy, a documentary that was not unanimously praised. It said that the audience was polarized between the skeptics and the people who said that this was true, that something had to be done and stop this industry.
Share: When I woke up, obviously, I was really stressed. I did not feel well. This dream takes a long time to tell but it all happened quickly, like an action movie.
