Dream #1: Scientists
Dream: I was with a scientist who was doing research and studies that he presented to people. There were also journalists doing an interview with him. The scientist had large white plastic bins sitting on tables in front of him, with gems/minerals inside. We were very close to the beach (either Jacques Cartier beach in Ste-Foy, or that in Ste-Anne-de-la-Pérade) next to the St. Lawrence River. The scientist had found all his stones in the sand further down and he explained that they dated from a very ancient time. There were some very pretty ones with beautiful colors (smooth red and black beads and some streaked with beige like sand crystallized in stone) and the scientist explained that they had a name and particular characteristics. He also explained that some stones found were radioactive, which explained that they had a little green; I saw smooth ones with jade-colored streaks that were very beautiful. A little further on, there were some beautiful green/blue/turquoise stones. Some were round and smooth, others in the form of large crystals, but they looked already crafted with a pointed shape to fit into a piece of jewelry. I looked at them as he showed them and found them very beautiful. I asked him questions about his stones: if he was going to sell them and if we could make jewelry with them; I would have liked to make jewelry out of it because I found the stones so beautiful. He told me no, that they were going to stay in the laboratory, either because they were radioactive or because he was still studying them. The majority of the stones were in a solution and the scientist showed them to me by scooping them with a spoon. Each time, some sort of transparent liquid remained in the spoon: I thought it was the chemical in which they were contained. I was a little scared when he tilted the spoons to show me the stones because some liquid would fall on me, on my hands or on the floor, and I feared it would be corrosive, but the scientist didn't seem to mind. worry. At one point, something caught fire in the air, near the beach or the water and that ended the interview with the journalists. I then walked away towards the beach and there were big waves in the water. The scientist continued to explain things to me: he said that he had found some very old stuff that had been washed up by the waves and that soon, people would start to be interested in it and look in the sand to find it. Also. As he said this, the waves could be seen receding and seemingly normal stones and sand appearing. Then he would start talking about bones and fossils (because he had found some too and very easily apparently) and as I continued to walk down the beach now with my mother, I would see fossils of dinosaur teeth or very large and ancient marine animals being cleared from the sand beneath our feet, as we advanced. I then had to run so as not to step on them at the rate they were freeing themselves from the water and sand (the water and sand seemed to be sinking underneath the bones/teeth/marine animals, which was releasing them from the sand). The bones were white and purple and they were teeth attached to a huge jaw: the scientist finished by saying that soon, on a planetary scale, we would find more and more fossils like that and stones like those that he had presented and he seemed to imply that it was going to be easy to find all this. Then my mother and I went up and left the beach to arrive in a wasteland, on a path. In front of me there was some kind of wooden barrel/Native American birch teepee construction and I was banging on it, just for fun, but eventually it made a rhythm, like some kind of tribal song or something. I then wondered if I had called Native Americans and if they were going to come. My mother and I continued walking and left the trail to find ourselves in a farm field with animals. There were goats/goats coming towards us, as if to attack us, but as if sexually. But eventually, they quickly fled into their enclosure: one was riding the other and the other was hopping as they headed towards their enclosure. After a while, they were all there. My mother and I said to each other that they must have been chased away by our ox (he had a name), who was very affectionate with us, but who wouldn't let others near his territory. We then went down a path that would bring us closer to home. Finally, we saw that it was a stallion (bay-chestnut, dark) who had chased the goats: he looked very aggressive, he was strong and imposing and his penis had come out a little from its sheath. We went down again and arrived between our land and the land where we were already. There, we saw our mare galloping away, but was stopped by the stallion and by another smaller, pale-colored horse (white, gray or palomino). The big stallion reared to attack our mare, she reared too, but received blows from the stallion's hooves. (The stallion wanted to “mate/rape” our mare.) Finally, a man arrived, tall, 40 years old, with reddish-brown hair like a chestnut. He was the owner of the stallion and the land. He first stopped the stallion (which was his) and seemed to move him away to separate him from our mare, but then our mare, who was frightened, tried to kick. Then the man hit her and passed several ropes over her to make her move forward. I shouted twice, loudly, for the gentleman to stop: “Stop, Sir! » but he didn't turn around and the 3rd time, my cry was so sharp that it became inaudible. The man ended up releasing our mare (chestnut and very big compared to us) and my mother and I hurried to go find her (we went up the path a little). Then we became aware of our precarious situation; surrounded by two stallions, one of which was particularly aggressive, rutting goats and on the land of a not particularly gentle man, who now seemed to believe that our mare belonged to him because she had been on his land. We said to ourselves that we were going to go down the path to arrive at the edge of our fence at the edge of our land and that we were going to find our ox, that he was going to protect us because he was so big and imposing and that he too could defend his territory and that we would be safer. But while I took one of the two ropes to guide my mare, she refused to move forward, because she was too afraid of the man and the stallion.
